Hi Karen, April is usually quite good, weather-wise. The afternoon storms don,t come until later in the summer. We prefer to stay in Kissimmee when we visit Disney but we don,t have small kids anymore. Send me an email if you would like to ask any questions. I,ve got a couple of Florida web-sites that are good too.

We go in just over a weeks time. Husbands parents have a house out there so we are very lucky to go over at least twice a year. We've been going now for 6 years and so far the best times are May and early October. Parks are slightly quieter and the weather is usually fantastic. We went out this easter and the weather was probably the worst its ever been, but saying that easter was earlier this year than it is next. Ive been in April and its usually red hot with very little rain. We will probably be there again next easter but if you have children and can possibly take them out of school a week earlier I would recommend it as the parks are very busy. Even with fast passes this easter my husband left the lines after half an hours wait as it was so bad. another tip, if you are looking for tickets for seaworld they have an annual pass valid 1 jan to 31 dec and its about 69 dollars, im sure its about 55 dollars for 1 day. Definately good value for us. Universal also have annual passes which sometimes work out cheaper than the 5 day passes if you are not going at peak time. Most of all its fantastic, hope you book and enjoy it!! Liz P.S Cant really comment on the accomodation as weve always stayed at the in laws.

We went a couple of times in February, first time the weather was mixed, even cool at times, next time it was glorious for the whole 2 weeks. Autumn is usually the hurricane season. We stayed in hotels on Gulf of Mexico, my cousin lives there and took us around and about. Quite a good place to shop for clothes, and the sales were on when we went too!! Val

We find it easy to book through Travel city direct,on telly text. Just flight and a car. There are hotels every where showing their nightly price outside, so you can find something that suits your budget. There is a voucher book you pick up free in McDonalds that is full of coupons to give you special offers at all rates of accomadation. Staying on Disney was ok but more costly. We stayed on All star resort first time we went but find somewhere when we get there now. Try orlandoinfo.com/uk they will post you an information pack on places to see to help you plan your holiday time when you get there. We are going back on June 4th. My friend lives there and say's it's lovely at the moment.

Karen, I went to Disney World in 1995. It was great! Were you planning on going to Disney? Obviously all the parks are great, MGM,Universal,Epcot etc. Sea world was amazing, especially the Shamu show! We also went to Silver Springs, which has loads of different animals, Kennedy Space Centre and Bush Gardens! You will have a fantastic time, I know there is more to Florida than Disney but I`m just a big kid! xxxx

we stayed in a hotel on International drive called Quality Inn Plaza. It was handy for everything, all the parks , shopping(loads of it) also the shopping outlets. It had 24 hour shop in it and 3 pools. I would definately recommend it. We went in June last year, red hot all day but it rained like mad every day at 5 o clock. Annoying because when there was a bad storm they closed the parks. Never seen lightning like it in my life. Recommend you go to Typhoon lagoon, kids will love it (and adults!!!!)

Hi Karen Whereever you stay or what ever time of year you decide on I am sure you will have a fab time. If you do go in August just remember its the start of the hurricane season, we flew back last year on the 12th august when it all started on the 13th. We fly out on the 24th July this year and fly back on the 15th august so hopefully the hurricanes will hold off!!! Liz
