Is there anybody out there who can tell me how to find out who ran the local Post Office in Sway Hampshire. I have been told it may have been a direct ancester. Brian |

Post offices and their managers are listed in street directories. These are kept in local history centres/records offices. nell |

The Royal Mail has archives in London. There was an a short article on it in either this months or last months 'Your Family Tree'. |

1901 census as well! What was his/her name? (There are 879 inhabitants it seems.) Mary Nicholas is a Post Office clerk in 1901. |

John The only thing i know which i have been told today by a very old inhabitant is that the PO was run by a lady with the surname Francis Obviously I'm a Francis and my ancesters lived in Sway from approx 1840 onwards to i don't know when Brian |
