Mommylonglegs Report 15 Apr 2005 10:08

Good morning to you all. Such sad news last night. Our Gaynor is now Sleeping Peacefully. I so wanted Gaynor to see and cuddle the Big Pink Teddy. I had an email from her Daughter this morning. Gayor knew about our Relay and was amazed. This makes me even more determined to make this Relay as big as possible. In reply to the last few posting. It was my intention to telephone Pink today about my own concerns about the Collection Bucket and its security. But this will be put on hold for today. I know a lot of us know the rules and regulations concerning Licence's etc. But there are some that may not. All this information was intended to be announced over the weekend. I am very sorry if a lot of you got confused over my 'area' posting. I was trying to get together little groups of members. The biggest problem was Essex, Sussex and Surrey areas. The maps that I am using do not show the Counties, apart from the one I downloaded and printed off. It is A4 in size and I have a two inch magnifying glass to read it. Then I started to get loads of posting and emails telling me where I had gone wrong. Which is what I wanted. The biggest problem was a lot of early replies from volunteers who told me where they could get to, but not where they actually we living. This is what caused my getting myself and all you lot confused. *London* C B and Bec's have offered to sort out London for me. If all those that live in and around the outer circle of the City could liase with them on their thread it would be great. I am hoping to get a rough route up today. Also a list of all participants. I really need to know who is taking part for a number of reasons. There is no way I can give any dates at the moment, it is absolutley impossible. The relay is going to take a lot longer than I originally thought, because there are so many of you that want to do certain things with Gaynor Bear. I have to add that there is no way Gaynor Bear can nip off in the middle of the relay, be transported miles away, to take a week off to go on a holiday overseas. Many thanks to you all, for you patience and fantastic support, for what I thought may be a silly idea. Love Jenny xxx

Jenny, Agree fully with your posting in view of the tragic news. I'm happy to co-ordinate the Home Counties handover of Gaynor Bear into and out of London, so I'll happily liaise with area co-ordinators from Berks, Bucks,Herts, Essex then into North London, on down to the Centre, and out again via a sweep across Surrey and Kent, then round into Sussex. Doing that will achieve a zig-zag effect across the whole area, starting wherever you wish to the North and finishing in the South. We CAN do this! No worry - no hurry! Love, CB >|< XX

Yes, there is no hurry Jenny, if we rush it things could go wrong. You don't even have to start on 23rd if you aren't confident that all the loose end are tied up. Another meet could easily be organised specifically for the start of her travels. Ann glos

Jenny I know you so much wanted Gaynor to hug and see the bear, but I'm sure she is looking down on you and know's your wishes. She just needed to be at peace and she is now. Your doing a great job. Well done

Hi Jenny Yes a crazy idea and we're all a bunch of crazies backing you to the hilt! I shall work with everyone in Group 6 which is Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambs and, should probably include North Essex, as that will make the Essex, Surrey, Sussex link easier. I will email you separately about the geography! Well done again. Daisy

Jenny, If this relay takes a year - then so be it. You are doing a fantastic job so stop worrying. There will be hitches and hiccups - no-one will think any the worse of you for that. I for one applaud you efforts already - I wouldn't even have known where to start!! A great idea and we WILL make it work! Mags xxx

In the light of everything and me and you getting concerned over safety of people carrying the bucket.... there will not be one!! GB will have donation/sponsor forms and this should be enough!! Pink xx
