Paul, My back has been giving me hell for ages. According to the doctor I spend too much time in front of the computer. Prescription: Soak in a hot tub. Sit up straight on the sofa with a pillow behind your back, with your feet elevated. Stay off of the damn computer (Her words not mine) Take anti inflammatory. Conclusion: I spend less time on the computer. and more time doing housework. Hope you get sorted! Lindy;-)) |

Occupational hazard I'm afraid, I work in IT so I do spend most of my time at the screen (hence knowing how to sit properly !). Thanks for the advice Lindy... hot bath tonight and if it's no better tomorrow off to the docs... 2 weeks enforced holiday ? lol |

Paul, I forgot to add that she also told me to loose weight, which I am doing, and take a slow relaxed walk for half an hour every day. Lindy;-))) |

ah. losing weight. tried that, lost about a stone and a half last year, its slowly creeping back on though. could do with losing a stone or two and getting a bit fitter, although I'm not hugely overweight so I don't think thats the problem. I tend to walk about half an hour a day minimum anyway, with the dog. |

HI I know the type of pain that you talk about, anti-inflammatory gel which you rub on the shoulders and back helped me, Linda P PS my gp said that it was too much time on the computer as well |

Paul, Then it must be from sitting in front of the computer. I have been sitting here for half an hour and the pain is in the middle of my shoulder blades, shoulders and the back of my neck. I am off for a walk! Hiya Linda P, Nice to see you on the boards. I still remember that wonderful meeting in the pouring rain. Lindy;-)) |
