The washing machine has eaten my duvet

Stripped my bed today, put the duvet, in its cover, in the machine. Partway through the wash it blew all the fuses and I can see the duvet sitting in a pool of cold water where it will have to remain until tomorrow afternoon when Kim comes to mend it. |

Hope you've got plenty of blankets for tonight. Hope your machine will be ok too. M. |

Grandpa Jim, Your washing machine must be suffering from severe indigestion to blow the fuses like that! Hope it is better soon. Rosemary(Essex) |

The trick is to take your duvet to the laundrette where you can blow up their machine and not yours. |

Must be one of those days Juim - My washing machine has decided not to spin, and the thermostat has broken on my heating system. I turn the water on and the radiators get red hot!!!!! You could have a chilly night ahead Jim!! maggie |

Oh dear Jim. Yonks ago my old washing machine refused to empty. My husband wasn't sure about draining it, so I called a man out. Was I embarrassed when he discovered the blockage was caused by one of my breast pads (I was breast-feeding at the time). I also had a ghastly incident when my son (unbeknownst to me) put a peeled banana in with the wash! nell |

The other day there was one of those little bags you put the soap block in, in with the washing. when the washing came out.............no little bag........looked everywhere, (except for dismantling the machine). Five days later, and three washes.........the little bag turns up........it hasnt been on holiday in YOUR machine Jim? has it? |

Just so long as you don't do my usual trick - remove the filter at the bottom corner of the machine to clean it, get distracted before you put it back, and then put on another load of washing. And to think I did it twice last summer. That rush of water all over my feet is something I never want to feel again! |
