Can you think about your lawn mowers for a mo. What make ,if any , can be operated LEFT handed and steered in a straight line at the same time? Need to by a new one and want one equally useable right or left handed Cheers jess

Have a look at the 13th mower on http://www.worldofpower*co.uk/acatalog/mowers_best_buy.html Flymo, R330, Elec Rotary 33cm 1000 watt, 3 height of cut 33cm metal blade Ideal for small to medium sized lawns Powerful but quiet 1000W motor for cutting in tough conditions Unique, advanced switch system for easy, comfortable right or left handed use. It's £87.00. I'm left handed but always mow with my right hand.

Jess, My best friend is left handed and always wanted to try caligraphy but she found all instruction books were aimed at right handers. I trawled the net and found a fantastic site called anything left handed. Business set up by left haded people who had problems buying things - its brill - worth a look. Lucy.

Thanks john. do use that suite alot, butthey don't do mowers. One of the normal manufactureres must do a mower than can be operated equally as well with a left hand! ~Jess

Grass isn't big enough to warrant a site and ride (i wish...) and a goat isn't really viable... One of the manufacturers must make a mower with a tilt bar under a horizontal bar handle! Jess

Pop into B&Q.and look at their range of mowers, I suggest a 'Mountfield Petrol mower' but it depends on the size of your lawn. I,ve had one for years and it has,nt let me down at all.It costs about £5.00.a season for petrol, much cheaper than Electric, and you don,t have Wires trailing everywhere. I,ve got Two Large lawns and it copes well. Hal.
