Ancestry!

I paid to view ancestry thinking it would help me find my grandfather but it hasn`t!!I know he`s not dead, so why can`t I find him.Any ideas??

I have the same problem. I have entered known family to see what would happen. Nothing, so its not a surprise to me that i dont find the dead relatives. Deanna

Hi girls I think Ancestry is for finding dead ones only! It has censuses from 1871 to 1901, bmd's up to about 1910, but as far as I know, nothing that would help you find living rellies. But I've found heaps and heaps of dead ones with Ancestry, so I love it. Bev

Suzy, It`s William Joseph Hayes, born 21st April 1943. I know he remarried but don`t know who to!! I can find my Mum and Dads marriage in there was just wondering why I couldn`t find him.Thank you Suzy!

GREAT!!! No-one told me it was for dead relatives!!!! OMG have paid out £56 or whatever it is for nothing *sob* *sob* Also wrote to the William J Hayes`s that someone found for me and had no luck there!!! :O((( xxxx

Yes DB thank you LOL, went to paignton zoo and a few other places. It was lovely, town wasn`t good for shopping(baby clothes) but can`t complain!!! Thanks for asking!

Any idea of area or rough dates. The marriage index on Ancestry goes from 1984 - 2000

LOL bev, but even though my family are still alive, I do class my older family members as ancestors1 It`s not obvious Ancestry is for dead people. I have found my fathers marriage to my mum and my step mum, I have found my mums marriage to her new husband!
