Now this could be the Telegraph,s AF joke, but I don, t think so. The study states ' men and women reported similar levels of anger when they were young, but by the time they were in their 30s, women were more easily angered, which stayed constant as they aged. Men became less angry. The last quote (to perhaps appease you girls) ' women became more assertive and men less angry- perhaps because men had less to worry about'. Discuss. |

The easy answer to that is women have more to moan about. |

It seems that they are saying that grumpy means angry. I think grumpy means moaning and complaining and men are definitely more grumpy than women. Heather (I'm going to hide now, lol) |

My anger level would remain relatively low if the 'manager' left being 'managerial' in the office and stopped taking over and directing operations in MY department - the house and garden - when he got home! What does it matter if the house is a tip and we have to have takeaway suppers because I've spent all day messing about on here? Doesn't bother me! :-J CB >|< |

If men would remember what they have been asked (even the second or third time) women would be less grumpy. My husband drives me daft by continually putting dirty crockery and cutlery in the sink when there is the dishwasher beside him!!!!!!! And I NAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Ann |

Ann, it's a MAN thing :-)) they all do it, usually a teaspoon on the side of the sink I've just cleaned. And glasses left on top of the cupboard instead of in it. GRRR. Ros |

A few years back I saw a doormat in a department store with the wording 'A grumpy old man and a nice lady live here'!! I wish I had bought it. Mine is definitely another Victor Meldrew. Even my son says so..... Kathy |

So, you don,t agree with the study then - it WAS done by a woman On a serious note - and belonging to a different age - my mother got grumpier as she aged and dad more placid. As was the fashion in those days she felt unfulfilled as a 'plain housewife'. Dad always smoked 40 a day and for years it never bothered her - until she got older....... Buttercup - I had noticed that. Stay as sweet as you are.(you,re not saying you,ve now got no hair are you?) happy days |
