Hi Ali, Do you mean my man-frog thread about them not having the necessary to procreate? Failed miserably I'm afraid. Waited till 11.00 p.m. as old smoothy Keith suggested. Put out a lit aromatic candle. Wound up the gramophone, put in a new needle. Dusted down my 78 of Mario Lanza singing Cara Mia (you keeping up with this?), switched on and awaited results. They can't sing you know. Some of them, when they weren't puffing and panting, tried. But they just croaked off-key... exactly like that Adrian bloke on Fame Academy the other day. Gave up at 2.20 this morning, got grumbled at when I crawled into me bed. Cold shoulder all day! No, I'm not repeating the exercise tonite! Don't care if there are no tadpoles in 2005....goldfish food anyway. Brian, ;-( |

I know my frogs and toads aren't the one you were discussing, but I just thoght I'd gloat....MY frogs' first batch of spawn hatched this weekend and there's lots of little wiggly tadpoles about. MY toads have been very busy and amorous this weekend the pond is a mass of strings of the stuff, makes it look vey untidy! The Newts, well they are another story, all they ever seem to do is chase each other around, never had any signs of baby newts! and no sign this year either, yet. Suex |

Blimey, Sue, Must be that salty sea air. Could you go into your back garden with a doormat and waft some of it towards Bedfordshire, please. ;-x ) |

Brian, Why not play them the Frog Song by Paul McCartney. It might take their minds off the business for a while, get them to enjoy themselves and then when they go back to business, you might get results. all together now....'hand in hand, we all stand together.' Jacky ;-) |

I appear only to have one large frog with two smaller ones clamped on its back, they have been swimming around like that since the week-end, no sign of any spawn yet. Ann |

Blame it on Global Warming. Why not, everything gets blamed on Global Warming. Brian (in a cynical mood), ;- ( |

Brian, If only you lived nearer you could come and get some in a bucket, I'd be only too pleased to reduce the quantity! Suex |
