Can someone help me out, not knowing to much about the London area i am a bit stuck. I have found two possibles matches on the 1901 census which could be my grandmothers sister one is Islington the other St Pancras, but she is registered in Greenwich, which is the nearest of those two to Greenwich Margaret

Islington and St Pancras are pretty well next to each other, so I am afraid the answer is 'either' or 'neither'. (but with a slight slant towards Islington)

I wouldn't link either of those two places with Greenwich unless there's a family connection to explain it. Was the sister staying with relatives or old enough to be working away from home? Janice

Margaret, Do you have access to the 1901? I have Ancestry so could look her up for you if you give me her name. Do you know the parents' names? Janice

Just a thought. Possibly cousins with the same name? My Robinson siblings all lived close to each other and seem to have given their children the same names just to help matters! Daisy

Margaret, Islington and St Pancras are slightly North-East of the the centre of London, on the North side of the Thames. The Borough of Greenwich is a few miles South-East and borders the South Bank of the Thames. CB >|<
