What's a 'Ganger' Grampa any ideas? I remember looking at church records at Sunday school and bawling my eyes out as the vicar said it was someone who'd been in prison. Thouhgt mom was gonna flatten him I was only six! Magi

When I worked in the Building Industry a Ganger was the chargehand over a 'Gang' of labourers. The civilian equivalent of a Lance Corporal I suppose.
