Hi Elizabeth As you say he's your grandfather should the date be 1905 perhaps? If so, you could search the freebmd site or the 1837 site. I think you might get more replies if you put this on the tips board though as it will soon disappear on here. Heather

TRYING TO FIND INFO ABOUT MY GFATHER WHO WAS IN A COUNCIL HOME WE THINK IN PORTMADOG NORTH WALES. HE ALSO LIVED IN A VILLAGE CALLED GARN DOLBENMAEN. I HAVE A LETTER TO HIM WITH ARGOED, GARN DOLBENMAEN AT THE TOP AND SIGNED YOUR BROTHER WILL (LONGHERT) NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP AS I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO NEXT. I HAVE LOOKED FOR A BIRTH CERTIFICATE BUT NOT FOUND IT. HELP! ELIZABETH
