You're right Greg. There is something special about receiving a letter, - especially a great one like yours! If I'm waiting on something in the post it doesn't even get a chance to hit the mat. I'm out to meet the postman and just sometimes the excitement of opening the long awaited certificate is so great that I HAVE to share with him just why it's so important. He's a nice man and stopped to show me a memorial card from his grandfather, killed in the 1st World War, so I don't think he minds too much.

My writing is so bad because I haven't written for years, everything is email, but it was so exciting!!! My parents live overseas, but can't wait to call them.. I now have about six Internet Explorer windows and FTM2005 open at the same time trying to write, do updates, send emails, and search at the same time.. So happy, I am bouncing off the walls :)

I work in IT so think computers and the Internet rank up as one of the best inventions ever, but it doesn't compare in many ways to getting a reply back to a letter with a photo of your g-g-grandmother, and details about a g-g-grandfather that you have been unable to find anything about! I was almost dispondent yesterday when I couldn't find a birth certificate for another g-g-g-grandfather but now I am over the moon :)
