yeah I remember them. and those fry's chocolate creams bars with several different flavours (that all tasted the same) By the way I think the correct terminology is cough candy TWISTS, cola cubes and pineapple chunks lol

Val Can still buy pineapple chunks , rhubard & custard sweets , sour apple sweets , Cough candy and stawberry & cream boiled sweets. I only know cos we had some of each of these when we worked in November Jan

Yes! yes! I remember those Milk Tray bars. They had Turkish Delight, soft caramel, a minty thingy and I'v forgotten the rest?. I was so excited to think someone else remembers them.xx

In Belfast there is a shop that sells sweets from the jar, l bought a bag of bulls eyes, l was gutted they did'nt taste the same as l remembered them lol I loved the olde english spangles and there was a candy stripe spangle a minty one with pink stripes. Can anyone remember a long twisted glucose stick it cost 3d and lasted for ages, a poke of raspberry sherbert that left you with a pink finger umm. Anne

val we have an old fashioned shop where we live.is 1oo years old.it's called gilberts and i t sell all the sweets you can think of in quarters.they have the old fashioned scales to measure it outxxxx(:

The sweet shop by the castle at Battle in Sussex still does loads of the old fashioned sort.

Lemonade dippers was my favourite, the yellow sherbit and red lollies. I have been searching for years for these. Everywhere I go I go in different shops but no luck.
