Hi Gwyneth , My Dad used to work at HMS Dryad and my Grandad used to be the village Bobby of Denmead . Used to live down Mead End Rd , yes I've been told it's much bigger now , what I ca'nt understand is when we lived there they said no expansion due to the surrounding areas being greenbelt.

Thanks Gwyn. Trying not to get too cocky though otherwise I'll probably crash!

Well done Chloe. You are getting really good at this driving lark! Denmead? It's probably grown alot since you knew it Twizz. Not such a small village now. We used to walk to Southwick from the other side of Portsdown Hill, when I was a child, - a Sunday afternoon stroll.

I used to live in Denmead and go to Waterlooville a lot but then we spread our wings and went further afield :-)

Petersfield is such a 'hip and happening' place. LOL. It really can be dodgy on a Friday or Saturday night now though. You see all the little kids outside the church drinking etc. Pathetic really. When I was their age, I would have never even dreamed of doing something like that!

Chloe used to frequent Petersfield in my youth and still pop in there now and again

Thanks guys. I was so impressed with myself that I bought Wimbledon on DVD! Excuses, excuses! Grampa Jim - that's just the way of things! LOL. Twizz - you know Petersfield? I parked just behind Waitrose, you can usually find a spot there.

It amazes me that you found a parking space in Petersfield :-)

I hate parallel parking in a car, I always seem to get it wrong. So how is it that I can parallel park a seven and a half tonner with no probs whatsoever?

I went to Petersfield today to do a little shopping. And I parked in the usual road we park in (I am a new driver), I was under pressure, but I parallel parked perfectly!! Yay me! I didn't move down my wing mirror to see the kerb or anything. I just did it like a pro! Yaaaaay!
