Judy - when I looked on 'mapquest' I thought it required a specific address to start and finish. All I want is a route from town to town. We are planning a fly/drive trip to the south west. Possibly flying into Denver then through the San Juan mountains (Aspen, Ouray, Silverton, Durango area), Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Lake Powell then flying home from . . . . well not sure yet!! - meaby Las Vegas. Possibly three weeks. We need to be England for the 18th September so we don't know whether to go before or after this date. As you can probably guess we are flexible, in other words retired! Christa - Expedia looks good!! I didn't think this site had that facility.

Many of us in the States, when planning trips here, use: www.mapquest(.)com The site will map out your trip step by step for you.....going to and then back to your location. Where about will you be traveling? Judy

Stewart - Multimap will locate a particular town/citiy in a given country, but I want a site that will give me a route between two towns/cities in the US.

Paul - I'm afraid 'mapquest' requires specific addresses. All I want is a route planner between American towns/cities.

Thanks Paul but this site seems to be for directions from street to street rather than town to town.

Does anyone know of an American route planner site on the Internet for car journeys? There are several UK & Europe ones but I can't seem to find one for the US.
