Lisa, I am just about at the tail end of the virus now - the end of my fifth week. I had dizziness on and off at different times as well as sore chest, thoat, stomach, eyes and tongue. Headaches, cough, not sleeping, thirsty and no energy. I worked for the first 3 weeks but took all of last week off which helped I am sure. I should have had the time off earlier. If you are feeling bad, then have the time off. Work will still be there - maybe piled up high for you but at least you will be able to do it later. At the moment I bet you are not achieving anything other than feeling worse. So.... Aunty jacky says, paracetamol, Lem-sip and BED! Hope you feel better soon. Jacky xx

LIsa , one of our grandsons (who loves school ) had this happen to himafter taking a day off (plus the week-end) in bed and on going to school went giddy and as white as the proverbile sheet. Spent the rest of the week in bed. Do'nt go back to work too early. Rupert.

That's what you need - plenty of rest and fluids and it will soon run it's course. My daughter was really grotty for about about 4 days and then felt averagely cack for a further three. Ended up with a very red, sore nose but the cough took ages to shift. All the best. Kxx
