Winter Drawers Ever Near | Report | 11 Feb 2005 09:31 |
|
A retired gentleman took his 18 month old Rover 45 back to the dealer when it became virtually undriveable. The mechanics thinking they were looking for a loose nut were surprised to find 2,000 peanuts in the air filter. They filled half a carrier bag and weighed 3lb 8oz. The culprit was a squirrel which had been taking nuts from the bird feeder in the man's garden and stocking up for winter by wriggling into the engine through an air intake pipe. Aileen xxx |
