as some of you know i work in a pharmacy, and today a patient called in for some medication we ordered for him, due to manufacturers delay it wasnt in, he said its a shame he couldnt get it some where else implying he was desperate, i called to him do you need it now? he smiled and said quick , oh god no its ok for now, after hed gone a colleague came up to me put her hand on my shoulder and said 'you know that man you just shouted to , well its an alternative to viagra, and you asked did he need it now' im still learning all the different names, my face was so red from concern for this poor man i could have said will you be ok for the weekend, which is the usual when patients are short of medication |

We all put our foot in it sometime or another - we all have to learn. You'll know next time. |

Oh don't worry about it Julie. If you didn't know what it was exactly, I'm sure not many other people in the shop did either. |

Its strange how you all need to laugh about this affliction. There was a programme on TV about Viagra last night and a discussion on the Jeremy Vine show on BBC2 earlier in the week. I don't think you really understand quite how it could affect the nature of a relationship between a loving couple. I have done some counselling and I do understand what a terrible difficulty it is. And no, I'm not the sufferer, a counsellor. |

oh andy, i do always say to people i work with , how these men all have different reasons for taking or using this, i do have sympathy, and i did feel awful for the poor guy in the shop as hes a nice fella, it was my own lack of knowledge i was laughing at, not his affliction, i do realise it helps all ages and lots of medical conditions, i am very understanding to most people and compassionate |

I used to deal with absentee records when I worked in a personnel department in the late sixties. A bloke brought in a medical certificate on his return to work. I thanked him and asked if he was feeling better - he laughed. After he had gone I read the certificate - he had had a vasectomy - so I DO know how daft you felt! LOL Magsxx |
