No, did the Civil War twice at school, once at A-level. But its interesting that in 1649 we were brave enough to chop off the king's head [long before the French got the idea] but now we are still arguing about the relevance of the monarchy. nell

Ooo Thanks for the reminder Susan .... We would have forgotten .... watching the brits ATM but planned to watch this earlier in the week. Hubby and I used to be members of The Sealed Knot. Spent summer weekends haring all over the UK, dressing up in 17C clothing and re-enacting battles from the English Civil War. T'was a right laugh :) Sioux
