No, did the Civil War twice at school, once at A-level. But its interesting that in 1649 we were brave enough to chop off the king's head [long before the French got the idea] but now we are still arguing about the relevance of the monarchy. nell |

Ooo Thanks for the reminder Susan .... We would have forgotten .... watching the brits ATM but planned to watch this earlier in the week. Hubby and I used to be members of The Sealed Knot. Spent summer weekends haring all over the UK, dressing up in 17C clothing and re-enacting battles from the English Civil War. T'was a right laugh :) Sioux |
