Hi, It has to be a hoax - Pakistan didn't exist in that name in 1881 - shame, though. Gwynne

I've just looked at the image and it is on the last page of a district, the page before it only has about four names on, the District boxes at the top have not been filled in, the handwriting is different and the name format is 'Surname, Forename' (rather than the other way round) and it has exactly enough names to fill the page. Still, it could be genuine.

Thanks Guinevere.... it would be a pity if what you say is true - thought he must be a real free spirit

I know that on a census there are details filled in by a man, I believe living in London, who gives funny occupations for his family and servants.........anyone know how to find it ????
