Never mind .when our daghter Katey lived in this country she shopped at Tesco's in York. Never knew her to come out from the store without what looked like a months shopping for 4. Every week was the same. You would make agood pair . Rupert.

Me thinks I will have to go with you next time, that way we can both have 8 bags of rubbish, and nothing we went for. :) Bev

Write a shopping list and only go for those items, don't start looking for bargains and 2 for 1s unless they are items you know you will use - like teabags and nappies. nell

We always had that problem and it worked out that we spent less if we order on-line and got them to deliver (even with paying £5 for delivery) Now we sit down and plan the meals for the week, and write the list of what we need for that, then add household stuff and food for the animals, then when we (ok, I I get hubby to do it) order on line that's all we order. No temptation of seeing all the new stock, or the 2 for 1 on things you don't need. And what you save on shopping more than pays the delivery charge. cheers H

I've also noticed Tesco prices are creeping up. Either that or I'm buying more! We do have Asda too but .... you have to pay to park and pay for the trolley. I know you get the money back but it's all extra hassel when all I want to do is go in shop and leave.
