I have been able to trace my family tree quite a way back on every side apart from my grandfathers mothers side,i have her name but according to any records i look at she doesnt appear to have been born,does anyone have any suggestions?please let me know if you do. |

i know she was born in september but dont know what year,early 1900's i think, she married alfred arbon.i think she was either born in yorkshire or london but thats all i have |

Marriage certs in England don't give mum's maiden name, I think they do in Scotland though. I was thinking freebmd for her birth as there are some records up to 1910. There's also the 1837 site, have you tried that? Heather |

there are 2 lillian bretts i have found one in todmorden,yorkshire.and one in bishops stortford but neither have her middle name of ethel |

Where did she marry and live? Is there anyone you can ask? My husband knew that his gran came from London so perhaps one of your relatives will remember something. Heather |

my nan rembers her,but she doesnt know her parents names or anything.she married my gdad when he was 30ish so i assume his grandparents were already dead |

i know she died after 1961,in the next few years after that was aged about 65 |
