Hi Donna Have you got her marriage certificate? Her dad's name should be on it. Have you tried Freebmd? Heather

Baby

Baby Report 9 Feb 2005 13:37

yep have tried that but would here marriage cert have mums maiden name on?

Heather

Heather Report 9 Feb 2005 13:43

Marriage certs in England don't give mum's maiden name, I think they do in Scotland though. I was thinking freebmd for her birth as there are some records up to 1910. There's also the 1837 site, have you tried that? Heather

Where did she marry and live? Is there anyone you can ask? My husband knew that his gran came from London so perhaps one of your relatives will remember something. Heather

Hi Donna, Have you got her death cert or could you get it. That should give you her age so at least you could narrow down the search. Sarah
