Not that I am aware of, my family in West Ham consisted of Wilson and Giles, that is it... I have 2 Great Aunts that were born in West Ham, but I have no idea who they married or if they had children. I'm not overly surprised about the no headstone really, those things cost a fortune today as I'm sure they did back then. Plus the descendants of the Wilson's and Giles all moved here to Canada so there is no one there to look after the plot. Gord

Hi Gordon, I have a lot of rellies at West Ham Cem - including my maternal grandparents. It is a nice cem, not too big, few trees and flowerbeds. The grass is kept cut even over the bumpy areas where graves have 'sunk', so it always seemed well looked-after. If you find any with stones then I will happily go and take a pic for you. Rest assured that they are in a peaceful setting. Maz. XX

I'm sorry to hear that Gordon. Actually, I daresay some of my ancestors are buried there, as a lot of them lived in West Ham during their later lives (you haven't got any Goldings or Gouldings in your tree, from West Ham .............?). Glenys.

Just got an email back from the Cemetery Records officer at West Ham Cemetery, he was kind enough to give me the burial dates and plot numbers for my 2nd GG parents, unfortunately he said there is no grave marker, and added the one grave has sunken in after all this time... he died in 1901.
