Up- My weight, due to grabbing snacks instead of eating properly Aching knees, due to sitting at the PC for so long Number of friends I can email and have a laugh with Concentration level Knowledge of the North of England: its geography & history Pages of info on family connections Depth of dust around the house Ironing awaiting attention in the basket Amount of paperwork waiting to be dealt with The pile of books I've acquired and not yet got round to reading Weeds in the garden Number of living relatives I got Christmas cards from Exasperation level at lack of info available when you get back beyond the end of the 1700s Down - Boredom and isolation Time spent doing exercise / gossipping over coffee / reading newspapers / browsing round shops and spending unnecessarily Trying to think of things to talk about to people who ask me what I do - everyone seems interested when I say I'm researching my family history. Nobody's interested in 'just a housewife'. CB >|< |

Jess you and me both, I am sitting here and I can see the dust building up, oh well when we have a draft I will open all the doors and windows, that should blow some away, dinner, erm what have I got in the freezer that is quick and simple, poor family they have forgotten what I look like all they see is a pooter desk and they can hear my keys clicking away, better than naging them. :))) Bev |

what are the ups and down of your geneology research? my up's are : the electricty bill, coffee / fag consumption/ purchase of a4 paper and files, pencils and rubbers.Loo rolls (because of the coffee) cost of christmas cards the downs are : the cost of polish/vac bags/washing up liquid - or anything that involves housework no food in the cupboards because i've ceased going shopping fuel for the car, because i don't go out cos i'm not bored what else?
