Hi My son was diagnosed with dyspraxia when he was 14.He will be 21 this year. When he was at school it wasn't really reconised . the teacers just thought he was lazy. there was only one special needs teacher at the school. But now they have 8. did you have a difficult birth with your son. i did he was born feet first. i wouldn't worry to much about your son. These kids are actually quite clever, they just have trouble expressing themselves when it comes to putting pen to paper. My son has learnt to cope with it quite well. Linda

I have been trying to get help for a couple of years I mean he can bend his hand right back and ping you in the face thinks it is funny but we have told him to stop but the doctor said they might have to put a splint on his hand to help him write as his hand hurts

My Nephew was told he had dyspraxia when he was 6. His school was brilliant and helped him all the way. He's now nearly 17 and has very few problems with it. Sheila

I am glad he will get help. My niece's little boy age 3 has dyspraxia. They kept on at the GP because they knew something wasn't right. He goes to nursery school where he is treated as having special needs. Joy
