Right, you can LIST the threads by originator, by clicking on the "underlined" Topic Originator link just about the names on the message board... however this only shows the most recent threads (20 pages), and as far as I know, you can't search for a topic by originator |

Thank you Karen - didn't realise that they were alphabetical :)) Diane - thank you too. I didn't reply on the other threads though so I can only find it on here. Have now found a possible match but need help with the area so am about to start another thread. I'm going to be popular this morning :)))) Chrissie x |

Did you reply you would look on that thread, if so click on look at your threads only, that will bring up a list of threads on each board you have contributed to, might help. Diane |

Thought I'd cracked it. Found the place that you mean but when I click on it, it still only searched for the thread title, not a list of threads by that person. I searched using a name that I know has a thread on but it came up not known. I should explain why I wanted to do it. I have offered to look on 1837 for a marriage over 4 years and I understand that the person also had a request on Records and Tips. So before looking I wanted to check that someone else hasn't already found them for her. But I can't find her threads on tips or records. Oh well, I'll go and have a look on 1837 anyway:)))) Just ignore me - I ramble a lot :))))))))))))))))))) Chrissie x |

The other day someone asked if you could search for a thread originator. The reply was 'yes, by clicking on thread originator and searching'. Well, sorry but no matter how hard I look, I cannot find a thread originator tab. Please could someone indulge an old, decrepit woman and tell her where it is please? :)))) (I'm only 16 really:)))) Chrissie x |
