A 2 two year old and a cream carpet sounds like a recipe for disaster to me, especially with accesible plant pots! Hoover, starting from the edges, having tied the 2 year old to a bollard somewhere with a label round his neck ' free to a good home'...... Only joking (!) Jess x

I think I would tackle it dry first, trying to get as much up the vacuum cleaner before letting the chocolate powder do it's staining.

If it's 100 percent wool do not rub or scrub at it - it will go very fluffy. 80/20 carpets - 80 percent wool 20 percent man made fibres can be rubbed a bit though. Tell her not to use any cleaning sprays or vanish type sticks on cream carpet as it will more than likely take colour out - leaving it almost white, cream carpets can be terrible for this! Diluted hand washing powder/liquid dabed on is quite effective on cream carpets. Em
