Louise & Lynda - l'm sure they will enjoy themselves. Neither son nor daughter knew the other was going to Rome (l did'nt mention that earlier - oops!), until son told me he was going then l told him his sister was going (gawd hope u understand that!!!:o). Just spoken to daughter 5 mins ago and they won't be able to meet up, what a shame:o((( They are all very excited though. l wonder how many of us are waiting to win the lottery. The most we have won was £64.50 on 4 numbers!! jude sarf wales

We went to Rome for a long belated wedding anniversary week-end several years ago. What a wonderful place to visit. The historical sites are great. We visited The Vatican where a tannoy kept telling us all to politely' shadduppa yer face' because it was a holy site. The Sistine Chapel's paintings are breath taking, but we didn't see the inside of St. Peter's because whoever was that month's Prime Minister was in residence. The Colisseum was massive with lots of people dressed as Roman Soldiers trying to fleece the tourists out of lots of Lire to have photographs taken. There were lots of lovely Roman cats everywhere. Roman women were real babes, far more gorgeous than the French ladies. The Roman men were like gods!!! Their ice-cream is to die for and there are lots of beautiful fountains to stroll past at night. Be wary of pick pockets, we were followed by three African types who suddenly disappeared when the Italian Police kerb crawled next to use and said hello. We'd love to take our two girls when we win the lottery. There's even a chapel with plaques of previous Popes where they said that there are only enough bare plaques for about 13 more Popes, so know you know. Louise Louise
