I have used Scots Origins in the past. For certs you need to contact Register House, Edinburgh. For the NE of Scotland there is a very good fam hist group called NE Scotland, it is based in Aberdeen. There may be many more inroads into this now, as I did it a while ago. You could also try Rootsweb message boards. brenda

scotlandspeople.gov.uk charge £6 for 30 credits but if they have images they charge 5 credits but when you think it is £7 to get a copy it is cheaper
