They were very big in those days, I went to the Willenhall lock museum with my kids when they were little, and was suprised how big keys used to be. Bev |

Depends what door. My husband's grandfather used to have the church key for Llangynwyd in Wales and it was ENORMOUS. Imagine a lot of keys like that on a chain, could do some damage. nell |

Hi Daniel... Take your back door key, hold it in your fist, and attack an apple or an orange...or better still (if 'cook' will let you (want to thump you everytime you call her that btw lol))- the Sunday joint.........then think BIGGER! I expect, given enough force, a lot of damage could be done with today's keys let alone one of yesteryear's proportions! Magsxx |

i can tell you i have walked with my car key in my hand , when dark , in the hope that should i need to i could inflict pain on some part of the anatomy , im sure you could stab someone if enough force used if needed, im not sure the size of victorian keys |
