Hercules of Iron wing, of your glory let anthem sing, faces with foreign desert lands, where evil thrieves and terror spans, strong and might men of peace, your legacy will never cease, pride and sadness interface, 47 squadron-Lyneham base, show your spirit at full mast, and tip your wing at each flypast, then cast away all earthly things, to fly back home on golden wings, RIP my lost friends |

Oh Kerry - l thought of you and the men on that plane today, we had a Hercules fly over, it did a circle and came back. We often get them here and Nimrods. l love seeing them,but l looked at it differently today. jude sarf wales xx Lovely poem!!! |

Kerry Have just read your poem again - so many lives lost - so much heartache - I have a son and to lose him would be the end of my world. I have copied your poem and will forward it to all my contacts worldwide - this has to stop. I know that these boys and men are doing their duty for their country and we are so proud of them but how many other wars are we going to be dragged into.....Bush has his eyes on Iran next and we can't follow.....the march against the war in Iraq had no effect and it looks as though we will be there for many a year.....has anyone got a solution...has anyone got a suggestion.....????? |
