Never too old for Easter Eggs! The ones from Hotel Chocolat are yummy (pricey but who cares) - really thick chocolate shells! PS These are for hubby and I - we don't have any kids! |

For me as a child, the best part about Easter ( After the Easter Eggs) was going to Church. I went to a Church School only 200 yards from our Church. We used to go from school every week. But at Easter we would go for singing practice. I always loved the songs that we sung. ( Will start a new thread about Easter songs.) When my children were little they always had loads of Eggs. We always celebrated Easter with a special dinner on Easter Sunday. I can remember one year Easter was quite late. We took the children camping. Only had three then. Second daughter wanted to take her Eggs with her. So without thinking the Eggs were put on the back window shelf of the car. . By the time we got to Wales all the eggs had melted. What a mess. Daughter cried her eyes out. Another time, my eldest decided to unwrap all her Eggs and put them in a bag and crush them all up into bite size little bits, most probably about 12-15 Eggs. I was not amused. You all put me to shame now. As the children are older I just do not bother at all about Easter Time. I shall feel very guilty now, because one of my surprise 50th Birthday presents was a weekend in Amsterdam. We go on Good Friday and come back Easter Monday. Hubby did not even realise it was Easter when he booked it. I shall be leaving my two youngest, 21yr old son and 15 yr old daughter on their own for the very first time, LONGER THAN 36 hours. Tried to get one of my elder girls to come and babysit, but 230 miles away is a bit too far for them. Jenny xx |
