Emma my brother has got IBS and if he sticks to the right diet he is fine, it is just finding out the things that upset you the most!! he had to stay away from all wheat products for a while and that was hard because he likes his buttys and beer LOL. Good Luck Debs.

Hi Emma, Try and watch what you eat, and see if you are worse after eating one particular thing ( or two ) I also found that cutting out dairy products really helped me. No more cheese on toast, that was really hard, but if you look you can find different things, and soya milk isn't too bad when you get used to it. Keep taking the pills Helen

Watch your diet, you will find out what effects you more. Nuts and Chocolate and Fizzy drinks with me, Since I cut them out I have been fine. If I am a bit naughty and have something I shouldnt, them it comes back. Margaret

Emma, I suffered IBS for 8 years - started when I left home and bought my first place. Managed it initially with medication - immodium and anti spasmodics............ I finally cured it by taking Aloe Vera Juice - you can get it in good health shops. Tastes vile, but did the trick for me really quickly - about a couple of weeks. At the end of the day, anything is worth a try, it's just finding the right thing for You!! Good luck, Anne
