Hi everyone, you may remember me rambling about my 9 year old and his football. He has already been picked for advanced training at The Cliff, for Manchester United, and goes every Tuesday, for the past year. Last week we received a letter asking if he could attend for some assessments. As I type, he is there now with his dad and brother. I couldn't go as I would put him off! Since I received the letter I have had butterflys in my stomach!! He just takes it all in his stride! The only thing that is putting him off is that if he gets picked for the academy, he will probably have to stop playing for his local team. He loves playing for the team and they are doing really well - he is their top goal scorer!! Could you all please cross your fingers that he does well? Thank you, Carol. x

Thank you all. Will let you know as soon as I hear anything. Funny thing is, he was more excited because he has to have a medical, than of the assessments! Kids!! Best wishes, Carol.

Thanks for all your crossed fingers! Luke came home about 1 hour ago. The parents haven't been told what happens next, so we are still in limbo. The good news is: the kids on assessment played 3 games against boys who were already in the academy. Although the "new" boys got well and truly beat, something like 6-0, 6-1 and 5-1, MY BABY SCORED ONE OF THE ONLY 2 GOALS!! YIPPEE!! Just have to keep our fingers crossed now. Best wishes, Carol. x
