WE LOST TWO FIREMEN TODAY. Two young Men.

In Hertfordshire today two firemen died trying to rescue someone from a high rise block of flats in Stevenage. I'd just like to pay a tribute here. God bless their families and colleagues and help them in this difficult time. RIP. Joanne.

I am sorry to hear this. Having many friends who are Firefighters, I know how hard this sort of tragedy hits their work and family communities. My thought go out to their families and colleagues. Jacky x

It's so tragic when this happens. We have a permanent memorial to a young woman firefighter who lost her life when our local Co-Op burned down. The whole community mourned her. Stevenage will no doubt do the same. My heart goes out to their friends and family. Magsxx

I feel so sore inside for the family and friends of the firemen who died ,my son-in-law is a firefighter tho now a Station Officer and i am so proud of him and the difficult job they all have to do. Chrissy.

Firefighters are selfless people. When it comes to the crunch they don't hesitate. Remember how many died in the 9/11 tragedy....hundreds. God Bless and help their nearest and dearest.

The fire station in Stevenage is just round the corner to the flats....they must have been there in less than a couple of minutes. Such an aweful waste of life....may god bless them and their families at this tragic time. V.

MY sympathy and prayers goes out to the families of the two firemen who so tragically died in todays fire in Stevenage May the support that they will receive from the Fire Service during the coming weeks help them in their tragic loss. My prayers are also for the other members of the crew who attended the fire,who will also feel this tragic loss My husband was in the Fire Service for 28years and was part of a very special band of brothers who considered it their duty to protect life and property RIP Bren
