what a bunch of idiots are council are.first ask for a refuse bin .had refuse boxes.were told that they would pick up the boxes the same time as the bin to be delivered.what do i find they have taken the boxes and left me with no refuse bin.so ring up the council who so kindly told me that they would deliver a box to me until i recieve my new bin.the next day the recycling bin turns up but one thing missing our private bin.which we keep our rubbish in.come home from work today find a nice new box outside our house 24 hrs to late as we have the bin.god i was spitting blood.ring council up who said they would get onto it.only to recieve a phonecall to state that they did not remove this bin.god why does it happen to me.putting it through complaints procedure and annoyed that the council have done this.i find them totally incompitentxxxx): |

Lisa, If you were nearer, you could have one of ours. We already had two bins of our own - one for food & anything else that smells and one for plastic, paper, cardboard, etc... then our Council gave us a green box for newspaper recycling... then they gave us a red box for glass recycling... then they gave us a big brown wheelie bin for garden refuse. Wonder what we'll get next? It's getting a bit crowded round our side door! LoL CB >|< X |

Has anyone worked out if the good done by recycling is cancelled out by the damage done in manufacturing all these plastic bins! |

Our local council provided green boxes for bottles and cans last year. Also a blue bag for paper. We have to provide our own bin for other waste. A couple of weeks ago my green box went missing. I have been told kids take them to use for toy boxes! So the following week I managed to catch the men emptying boxes and asked for a replacement. No longer allowed to carry them so phone the number on the side of our van they said. Well all week I tried, every day at various times but I never got an answer. Not even an answerfone. I got so frustrated that I searched the net, found the site and emailed them. They actually answered that and said they would deliver me a new box as soon as but so many have gone missing it may take a while. No explanation as to why they don't answer phones though. |
