Marasmus - Definition: [n] extreme malnutrition and emaciation (especially in children); can result from inadequate intake of food or from malabsorption or metabolic disorders There would have been a post mortem if the person hadn't been seen by a doctor prior to the death, but there wouldn't have been an inquest if there were no suspicious circumstances.
