Hello everyone, back from my mums and had a lovely time. Stayed longer that planned but was nice for her to see Kian. We got back last night and drove past camp to find the gates were shut, We thought it was odd and thought that there might be a new terror state. Stopped at the shop to pick up a few things and saw TV crews and vans in the car park-knew something was wrong. Got home and found out that a C130 Hercules had crashed in Iraq, if that wasn`t bad enough, the Hercules was from Lyneham and people that died were also from lyneham, although not all of them. Have found out today, through unofficial names released on camp that we knew a few of the men! My heart goes out to their families and they will be sadly missed but never forgotten! This is the price we pay for doing our jobs. They died as Heros. RIP |
