My friend who is even less computer literate than me and that is saying something cannot understand why she cannot link on to MSN. She says she has something called IM and appears to believe that only aol could link into IM. However I have freeserve and note that my messenger friends are a mix of different servers including aol. I have sent her an invitation to join - it mentions something about her using a passport. Can anyone help two doddering ladies? Ann

Ann The passport requires just a username - which is your email addy on h*tmail - plus a password. Once she's done this is should be plain sailing. Anne

just because you can add AOL members to MSN, doesn't mean you can add MSN members on AOL ! The other people you have on your contact list may also be using AOL's instant messenger tool (IM). You need to get your friend to download and install MSN.
