I really do hope you get a reply. However it might not be immediate, she might 'sit' on the information, while she thinks it through. A friend recently traced a stepbrother through the Salvation Army and when he phoned, he told her he had carried the letter around with him for 2 weeks, wondering whether to contact. |

Hi Wendy, Are you sure you had the correct address, its just a chance it might have gone astray even. What have you got to lose if you send another brief letter, saying you werent sure she had received it. Or as others have said, perhaps she doesnt know how to handle it,there could be so many reasons why,and in the meantime you have to sit and wait, but thats very hard to do. I speak from my own experience, lucky for me I found out my half brother actually lived in my home town,he had been here for 25 years, coming from Liverpool. I plucked up courage and actually knocked on his door. He never knew anything of my existence. Try again, who knows you might be lucky. I wish you well, if theres anything I can help you with email me. kind regards trish xxx |

Wendy I contacted my half sister just over a year ago, like you I was nervous, but (with big smiles) she was just as excited and nervous as me, we have since met up, I hope you have the same good luck. :))) Bev |
