What else other than Genealogy interests you? Or do you have any other hobbies? I cross stitch and one of my favourite pieces is my family tree that I stitched last year. I also make things with my embroidery like Christmas Stockings, Pencil cases, Bags and cushions. Pat x |

I like to make Jewellery, gardening, going out and about to visit places of interest, also enjoy meeting up with friends for a coffee, lunch, or a day out. I know thats not a hobby, but I do think you have to work at that one, it's too easy not to bother, and then before you know it, you've neglected your mates. |

Lots of reading so far! Yvonne, I think an interest in History must go hand in hand with Genealogy. Your job sounds great. I'd love it! Lynda, I know what you mean about forgetting your mates, I have done a lot of that since I moved. I have been so busy! I must make time to catch up during the school holidays. Pat x |

Hi Linda I agree with you there Lynda about not neglecting your mates, I done that many many years ago and regretted it, now we all see each other usually once a month for a meal and a good natter. If we dont meet up we usually ring each other. Yvonne x |

Hi Pat Ive had a love of history since I was a child probably inherited off my dad who also loves history, remember as a child going to Chester round the Roman walls and that was it I was hooked. Im working in Speke Hall this afternoon and tomorrow its a lovely place to work, quiet and peaceful and is 450 to 500 years old. Some of the kids are really funny, one little girl asked me why didnt they have any on-suite bathrooms lol she was so funny. Its on the internet, if you type in Speke Hall it will come up. Worth a visit if anyone is out there doing nothing. Yvonne x |

Yvonne, I love old houses and Statley Homes. Find it difficult to go with the family though, as they wizz round really fast and I like to read all the notices and stories that are up! Pat |

Maz, Lynda make hubby laugh the other day when she popped in on my birthday. I got a sewing machine. She says to me 'Do you do a lot of sewing?' It was well funny, I showed her some of my lovely pictures to show her that I certainly do. Will show you next time you come round! Chris, Sounds interesting, Pat |

I work full time, so don't have much time for other things. I have collected old books, but must now think about selling some, as I am running out of room!! I love DIY, but with my daughter & her boyfriend living here part-time I don't get much chance at the moment - too much 'stuff' to clear up before I can do anything!! As I can't do up my own house, I bought myself a dolls house at Christmas - I'm doing that up instead. Read a lot. Spend a lot of weekends going to country pubs, point-to-points and hill climbs with a friend. maggie |
