Joyce, Why don't you go to a Day Centre and you'll meet lots of other Dutch women. Even if you don't understand at first you'll get better in time. I too never had lessons but used to listen intently and then when I felt confident began to speak Dutch. Now you can't stop me! |

Joyce, I am sorry you are having such a rough time, you both sound so stressed. I think your hubby should realise how lost he would be if you injured yourself moving things and get some help. Won't your landlords do something to help, ie send someone in to give you a hand? They shouldn't expect you to do all this. Take care Lizxx |

My hubbie always wants me to help move heavy items, and I am usless at it. I always end up with a bruise or dropping something, or knocking into the wall. Then we argue, now my daughter has a big strong boyfriend, I say get dave to help you, my lifting days are over. I have started going to the gym and I do feel a bit stronger now, after lifting light weights. I lost two pounds last week, but this weekend had a blow out barbeque so stayed the sam. Joy |

You both sound tired and stressed out. Could the two of you maybe have a meal out together away from the house and relax a little? xx |

Sorry to hear that you're feeling low Joyce. You've had weeks and weeks of stress with all the building work and set backs and then problems with your rash and general health, it's no wonder that it's getting you down. Try to take a break, even if it's to go for a short walk. Just getting out of the area of upset sometimes helps.I think hubby should ask for help, if you can't manage. I do hope that all the work finishes soon and you can get your home back to yourselves..... I'm sure that will help. Gwyn |

Hi Joyce sorry to hear your not very happy. I was wondering how things were going with the builders? Think your hubby is being a bit unfair its not really your job to shift furniture. You should tell him he can do it on his own next time lol. Chin up hun, take care. Lin x |
