As you are all aware following my thread about flaming social services .......... well my grandson was finally placed with my step daughter 2 wks ago today ......... Well today we went to visit him and although we were both excited we both came away upset ............ he stared thro' us both as if to say who are you? but at least Hubby got a couple of cuddles ......... he wouldn't have anything to do with me ............I was heartbroken xxxxxxx |

TJ, next time will be better I promise, children are like that until you re-build the bond, I didn't see my nephew and niece much when they were little simply because of time and distance,so each time i did, it just meant trying to relax with them until they got used to me again. That is sad for you T.J. your expectations must have been high, but little ones are like that I am afraid......it used to happen to my Dad and does to my MiL when they see the great grandchildren, they want to hug and cuddle them, but the little ones have to get used to them again..... Just keep in contact and it will all come right.....he will realise that you are special people to him in time.... |
