A contractor Iron and steel fixer would have been in 1900's would it have been scrap metal dealer?

Could have been some one who built the Steel Framework for Bridges/Factories or Skyscrapers Etc. .M.

My great grandfather, was married as Henry William on his son's marriage certificate is says William Henry...... which way do I look? Both?..............
