iv asked a person to delete some names fron their tree but they wont delete the last one

what can i do??

genes ask them to do it and they make sure it is done. give genes full name and dob etc of peeps you want deleted

just e mailed genes asking them to remove the name

what happens if genes has asked them but they havent removed the name

if they still refuse then genes will remove the names for you have you blocked this person from seeing your tree now?

its only happened to me once as soon as i realised what he had done i blocked him but obviously it was to late because he added every person on my tree and i had to get genes involved because he wouldnt answere pms n remove my living rellies. i made a mistake and i have learned from it ,i am now very carefull who i share my tree with .

not sure if they have a link sad to say but wont trust anyone ever again the person said it was their hobby some hobby if they just copy the joy for me i searching for stuff not copying it

If they have a link, they cannot be made to remove it from their tree!

Just put it in perspective, you can get names from Census's 1841 - 1901, more from 192,etc. These are collections of names, skeletons, no more.

Our 'Family Trees' are fleshed with our hours of hunting for proofs, certificates & if we are lucky, photos.

2 very different things! Do not take it personaly.


Over the years I have helped other people with searches for their relatives, on here & on other sites. It is very easy to get excited when you find someone who has been wrongly 'scribed', on a census even if there is no link to you.

At the moment I am trying to help a distant relation (our GGGGrandfathers were brothers), he wants to know about his GGrandmother.
Annie is no blood relative of mine!
The easiest way of getting infomation I have found, to him, was to add his line to mine! So would you say I am stealing his relatives? He does not think so!

I had to get genes to remove my living rellies from there tree.He had not got them from me either.I asked him to and he refused.He also got a warning. Annie
