Each month we choose two books to read and invariably the majority only read one of them. Last month so far, only a couple of us seem to have read the book that came first. this is not a criticism, everyone is free to read what they want to. (I know Michelle was unable to get hold of the first one in Australia). I actually didn't read the second choice because I was in Tenerife and didn't get hold of it before I went.

I would be interested to know the reason people didn't read Since I don't have You. (Especially as it was my suggestion Lol!) And secondly, should we revert then to only having one book to read if we are unable to cope with reading two?

Your views please

Hi Ann,
I read both this month but haven't added my reviews yet. I always try and do both where possible and usually read others too as I do read everyday.
I am happy to continue with 2, but will go along with the majority.

I'm happy to go along with the majority.. I will make one point though, if the final choice is reading one book, I would still like to have a choice of an either or.. if you see what I mean? There is no way at all that I could read Buried, for instance (I have it here, my mother left it when she stayed with me a couple of weeks ago). So another choice would be useful for me at times! (I said I was a wimp, lol)

By the way, I just ordered *Since I don't have you* as a result of your review, Ann.... I'll let you know how I like it!

Love

Thanks, both of you. There is no hidden agenda here, I just like to make sure I am doing what everyone wants, so I put up these threads every so often.

I am happy for it to stay two books and read which one you want to read. Buried probably wouldn't be my sort of book either. but then I have said that about a lot of books, read them for greaders and enjoyed them. I also find I pick up a lot when I am in the Canaries that I would not normally read and enjoy most of them.

Sorry Ann, I have been doing a set of nights and my time on the boards has been limited.
I did read both books but haven't yet posted my review for 'Since I don't have you'
Will try and do it this evening.

Hi Ann

I read 'Since I don't Have you' but haven't reviewed it yet - I did start it last night but my mind went blank! Will do it after dinner.

I think it's a good idea to keep to 2 books because if you can't get hold of one or really can't get into 1 then at least you have another option. If there was only 1 and you couldn't get it then you have to wait for the next round. Having said that I do try to obtain and read both. I did start Buried but couldn't get on with it.

Hope that makes sense

Hi An

I only read Buried this month and will put my review up later. I didn't get round to reading Since I don't have you as I had a few other books I wanted to read. Very selfish of me, I know!

I would be happy to keep it at 2 books. I do generally get round to reading both and as somebody said, if you can't get into one of the choices at least there's another one to go at.

Hi Ann

I agree, keep it at two and then people can either read both or one of the two. I must say, those who didn't read since I don't have you really missed out on a fantastic read! AL

Hi Ann

As you stated in first post I could not get the first choice here in New Zealand (we aren't a state of Australia yet lol) as it was to newly published for library lending which is why I prefer that there is two books to choose from, as sometimes there is a lag between books being published overseas and here.

I have already started the second book for this month only as I have a copy of it (and it was one I had put forward), and have to wait until next week for the first choice to come from a nearby library
