GR could do with sorting something out officially.

I always went under my own full married name, I have nothing to hide, my late parents gave me my Christian name & I took my husband’s surname on our wedding Day over 25yrs ago. This caused me no problems for several years
I could not be accused of being anyone but myself! Then when they revamped the site they left off my Surname – there are several more Carol’s on here so this became a bit confusing, I have received pm’s which I believe were meant for other people : I have now put my surname back manually.
If everyone was allowed just one Board name, linked to their email address, it would put a stop to the trouble makers who change their names constantly & not allow duplicate names, so putting a stop to those dubious threads/pm’s, supposedly put up by decent people.

Blooming good idea, but...........they wont do it!

I tend to agree with you, but from a selfish point of view, it was fun to extend my board name to include my lack of cooking skills.

I understand completely about the occasional trouble makers though.

It would not be necessary for everyone to lose their board names or the lovely decor round them, just make it harder to change once registered.



Capricorn - I am not saying that everyone should go under their own names - or that everyone with anything but their name is a troublemaker. I do not use 'my' name on all the sites I go on. (moderated ones - lol)

B - your secret is prob safe here as my threads do not usually get a lot of notice - I think you mentioned something about ironing on one of your threads - but I might be wrong! lol

I put the S on my name as there was another Helen posting on the same threads - sometimes we were posting one after the other so it was a bit strange! She's put / \ round her name. The S does stand for my surname but it's so unusual I doubt anyone would guess.

my name comes up as angelina ballerina and I always sign off as Angie but we have another Angie now dont we so I will have to put angie B.......t'other angie tells much better jokes than me though :o))))
