Friendship's Road
I've a warm and friendly feeling
as I think of you today.
And I wish that we could visit,
but you're many miles away.
Separated by such distance ...
yet your letters bring you near.
Through the miles we share a friendship
that's become to me most dear.
Friends through correspondence only;
still your face I need not see.
For your soul shines through the pages
every time you write to me!
Your special way of writing,
warming as the sunshine's rays;
brings joy and inspiration
and brightens up my days.
You've enriched my life my dear friend,
and I hope God wills we meet.
Friendship's road is so much nicer.

These are a few poems i've had stored over the years, not all of them are mine.

When two people understand as we do,
each others feelings right on cue.
We share all the joy along with the pain,
and everything is done for mutual gain.
Nothing can harm us if we are true,
to each other in spirit whatever we do.
it took years to discover the great strength,
of two individuals on the same wave-length.
We can just sit together and share our feelings,
with complete trust in all of our dealings.
We each follow our own path when we're apart,
but when we are together we're joined at the heart.
We instinctively know when the other is down,
and smiles soon come in place of the frown.
We share all our thoughts on everything now,
and the times we're together are special somehow.
No subject is taboo for us to discuss,
our secrets are shared just between us
others around could never be part,
of the closeness we have, it comes from the heart.
In sharing true friendship we both are blessed,
it is one thing that sets us apart from the rest.
No worrying now of any uncomfortable states,
just enjoying each other as true soul-mates.

If a kiss was a raindrop,
I’d send you showers.
If hugs were a second,
I’d send you hours.
If smiles were water,
I’d send you the sea.
If friendship was a person,
I’d send you me.

Each of us has a hidden place
Somewhere deep within ourselves;
A place where we go to get away,
To think things through,
To be alone, to be ourselves.
This unique place, where we confront our deepest feelings,
Becomes a storehouse of all our hopes,
All our needs, all our dreams,
And even our unspoken fears.
It encompasses the essence of who we are and what we want to be.
But now and then, whether by chance or design,
Someone discovers a way into that place we thought was ours alone.
And we allow that person to see, to feel and to share
All the reason, all the uncertainty
And all the emotion we’ve stored up there.
That person adds new perspective to our hidden realm,
Then quietly settles down in his own corner of our special place,
Where a bit of himself will stay forever.
And we call that person a friend.

The Light Of Friendship
I’ve seen the light
And it’s in you,
In everything you are
And in everything you do.
It’s a perfect light
That shines for all to see.
It radiates from you

It’s a light that keeps me warm.

And keeps me safe from harm.

Portrait of a Friend
I can’t give solutions to all of life’s problems, doubts, or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we can seek answers.
I can’t change your past with all it’s heartache and pain, nor the future with it’s untold stories. But I can be there now when you need me to care.
I can’t keep your feet from stumbling. I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.
Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine. Yet I can share in your laughter and joy.
Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge. I can only support you, encourage you, and help you when you ask.
I can’t give you boundaries which I have determined for you. But I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself.
I can’t keep your heart from breaking and hurting. But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place.

A friend is someone we turn to

Sending it back and this is my favourite one I think
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when
you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.
That is the mark of true friendship, you can disagree about some things, but accept that and don't let it spoil the rest of your relationship.

names.
A real friend has their phone numbers
in his address book.
A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your
party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook and
stays late to help you clean.
A simple friend hates it when you call after
they've gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why you took so long to
call.
A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your
problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.
A simple friend wonders about your romantic
history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it!
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when
you have an argument.
A real friend calls you after you had a fight.
A simple friend expects you to always be there for
them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!
A simple friend reads this e-mail and deletes it.
A real friend passes it on and sends it back to you!
