I wanna emigrate to Alaska as I believe in some parts there are loads of hunky men and only a few women, and the poor guys are looking for wives! |

Hi Julie, I didn,t actually "emigrate" but married a "Yank". After living here for over 30 years, there,s still soooo many things that i miss about home although I,m very happy here and wouldn,t want to live in England these days. |

I would love to go and live in New Zealand. I have rellies there and visit every three years. I love the people, laid back way of life, beaches, scenery, but I could not leave my family, after all, NZ is 28 hours away and a least £1,000 in fare. |

mmmmmm, where do I start - I miss my family, shopping in proper shops with reasonable prices especially Tesco, Asda also Lakeside shopping Centre. Not having to worry about if the water supply has run over night so that we have enough in our water deposit. Tarmac roads, decent chocolate, clothing in the shops above a size 10, decent strong cheese, central heating in winter, telephone land lines that work, and my job that paid lots of money. What do I like here - waking up to the sun most of the year even if it is a bit nippy, watching the goat man go by with his herd especially the little kids, slower pace of life, children are able to play out without worrying, no PC brigade, my log fire on a cold night, cheap water when you can get it and not a police/ambulance/fire siren can be heard and is hardly ever heard, in fact we all stood around with mouths open the other day in town when a police car went by with its blues and twos going..... |
